Where To Stay When You Visit Baja California
Mexican coastal cities have long been home to large investments in Luxury real estate development. Cancun itself is home to hundreds of hotels and resorts, but outside of the already developed cities, there is plenty of opportunity to invest in other types of developments. Here are a few.
Hotels
The first thing you think of when you think of Baja California is probably their hotels and for a good reason. Baja is home to some of the world’s most fantastic resorts and hotels. When deciding where to buy property, we recommend visiting first.
Hotels in Tecate, Mexico, are some undervalued places to stay. Just on the outside of Mexico’s wine triangle, this area makes an excellent getaway for a drunken weekend.
Timeshares
Timeshares are an excellent option for people who do not want to commit to owning and maintaining a home all year round. Sharing the price of a property with someone else and having a place to vacation is incredibly valuable. The problem is you usually only get allotted a certain amount of time per year, so you can’t visit your property whenever you’d like.
Residential
If you are looking to buy a home that you want access to all year round, then you are probably looking at real estate developments. Most developments have move-in-ready homes. All you have to do is go through the fideicomiso process we discussed earlier. Homes for sale make up a fraction of our total holdings, though.
Raw Land
If you have a picture in your mind of what you want your home to look like, buying a plot of land and building on it is the best option. Construction costs can vary, but you get to create your dream home. The only downside is that you won’t be able to move into your home until construction is complete, but construction can occur while the fideicomiso process goes through.
International Land Alliance Real Estate
We pride ourselves on the variety of real estate developments we hold. Mostly in northern Baja California, we have a luxury home for any income bracket. Take a look at some of our offerings.
Ensenada
Ensenada, Mexico, is only 45 minutes away from downtown San Diego. To put that in perspective, that is the same distance from downtown as Alpine, CA. But when you compare the two cities, their proximity to downtown San Diego is the only thing they have in common. Ensenada is a beautiful city situated between the Pacific coast and one of Mexico’s best wine-growing regions.
The city has virtually the same climate as San Diego. Ensenada also has one of the busiest ports on the Pacific Coast in North America, making it the center of culture and tourism.
The city also boasts some of the region’s best tomatoes, olives, and grapes. Yes, that means Ensenada is also known for its wine. It may surprise many, but Baja California has the same climate as southern Italy, making it one of the region’s most famous wine destinations.
The city is perfect for ex-pats, and English speakers alike, as Ensenada is just south of the border, and a tourist hub, which means most people can speak English. So if you don’t want to learn Spanish but still want a Mexican getaway, Ensenada is the city for you.
ILAL is developing two locations in the Ensenada area that keep you one step away from Ensenada, 45 minutes from downtown San Diego, and right next door to some of the best attractions Ensenada has to offer.
Valle Divino
Valle Divino, as discussed earlier, is located in Ensenada, one of Mexico’s largest port cities, and will see a flurry of investment as it becomes more well known. Just 45 minutes away from San Diego, this real estate development is tucked away in Valle de Guadalupe, which is Mexico’s most famous wine country.
Bajamar Ocean Front Resort
This is our second land development in Ensenada. This one resides steps away from the Pacific Ocean and overlooks Ensenada’s best golf courses.
Both of these developments put you close enough to San Diego that you can come and go as you please. If you work in downtown San Diego, the drive will be just as long as if you were driving from Alpine.
Oasis Park Resort
Located in San Felipe, on the east side of Baja, this development resides in a sleepy surfing town on the Colorado River Delta. San Felipe is a town that is yet to receive as much publicity, but given its proximity to several beautiful national parks, it won’t stay that way for long.
Rancho Costa Verde
International Land Alliance is working hard to develop a beautiful piece of land just south of the town center. More than 1,000 lots and 70 homes have been built at Rancho Costa Verde, and if you are looking to buy property in Mexico in 2022 and beyond, this may be the development for you.
Rancho Costa Verde is a gated, beachfront community that also boasts a fabulous hotel and pool.
Whether you are looking to rent or own, a getaway, or stay for a while, Rancho Costa Verde has accommodations for you and your family. Not only are you close to so many wonderful attractions, but you also have the security and privacy you need. For more info on our properties, please visit our website for more info.
Property in Mexico
We announced that we made six land acquisition deals in the Valle Divino development alone. The residential lots in Valle Divino start at $45,000, the complete 1BR/1BA solar-powered homes start at $119,000, and the 2BR/2BA start at $139,000.
Our initial plans include 187 homes, and in total, the development will contain 650 homesites which will mean $80 million in gross sales. This number only represents our holding in Valle Divino, and does not represent our holding in San Felipe, Bajamar, or Rancho Costa Verde.
As a real estate investor, you may wonder if our homes will accrue in value. We believe they will, and there are several reasons why we are confident in this. If you want to invest with us, please visit our investor relations page.
